  • thanks dude. good pics. i have a good point of entry, catch and high elbow pull. i know this because i used to very much not and have worked on all of them. what i hadn't been giving any thought to was what my hand was doing at entry. only a small thing granted but it all adds up right?

    my latest bugbear is head position in the water. i've been though the lot. when i was a kid my coach had us doing freeestyle with the water level just above our eyebrows. when i was going though my total immersion influenced return to swimming a few years back i developed a much lower head poition, almost totally neutral looking directly down and concentrated on rotating round that imaginary line from the top of my head to my toes.

    but lately i've been thinking that this isn't necessarily the quickect way to swim , requiring, as it does, a lot of rotation to breathe. i've been trying to find a happy medium but keep finding that im really not rotating enough and (horror of horrors) have started to lose form and drop the occasional elbow while my concentration is diverted to head position and rotation.... gah. i think i'm going to go back to t.i. head position.
