If newcastle finish 4th and don't get into the champions league after such titanic effort I will never forgive barcelona.

Hats off to Chelsea, they have succeeded where Utd and Arsenal failed. Rather disingenuous of the Barca press to be so critical of Chelsea's tactics. It's football, not 'dancing on ice', you win by scoring more goals than the other team. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If Newcastle finish fourth and Spurs fifth and Chelsea win the champion's League, then I'm guessing Arsenal have to go into the qualifying rounds of the CL, Newcastle get Europa along with Liverpool, and Spurs too because the FA cup final is between two already european qualified teams? As Chelsea will probably field a weakened team for the FA cup final being so close to the CL final, Liverpool could qualify twice for the Europa :) I don't think Cardiff as league cup runners up are in any kind of contention. Non?

They'll have everyone who's not playing in Munich

He was well in his own half when the ball was played and a cool finish. Are you going to Munich?
It would be rude not to.

I love Frabrigas saying that Barca remained true. True that is to the extent of a blatant dive for a penalty that is, eh, Cesc?

Never been a fan of Gary Neville but I have to say that he leaves Andy Gray in the dust when it comes to commentaries. Does his best to be level headed in terms of the Premiership sides and is far better then I ever expected him to be. His reaction to Torres' goal was one of a true football fan.
Oh and Fabregas? WAC.

You might have a point about Cardiff, I'm fairly sure last year Birmingham had qualified before the final took place as Arsenal were in either way. Might be wrong.
Liverpool are guaranteed, beyond that it's still all up in the air.
I agree it would be very harsh on Newcastle to be demoted to the Europa League.

Fuck me I woke up thinking it had all been a nightmare but sadly no.
Anyone know of ant browser filters to filter out any Chelsea news story for the next few days?
God I am so fucking depressed and this weather is not helping. Time to go and crash into some carsAt least Captain, I'm not a racist, I'm just not that kind of player will have to watch them win the cup from the sidelines. Do you still get a medal if you are banned for the final?

"A team stingy, cowardly, vulgar. Unworthy of a competition as big as this."
Their undoing was failing to take into account Chelseas style.
Shows what a bunch of ungracious cunts they are -

well who would have believed it
underdogs come from behind to win
a game to show how the mighty have fallen
no.1 striker suddenly finding his form.

How the hell did those players do it? Centreback gets injured, EBLJT shows how much of a dick he can be by acting like the playground bully (at least he murmured some sort of apology), Drogba playing as lone striker, left back, right back and pantomime villain, Ramires gets booked and knows he'll be suspended for the next match and then comes up with this amazing chip over the GK (if Messi would have scored it'd be the goal of the tournament), Ivanovich & Cole were superb, Messi misses a penalty (still not sure if it even was a pennalty), Mikel starting to look like the player they all said that one day he could be, Cech hasn't been the same since that kick in the head >>>>>

That looks very much like the area where Clive sits so I would hazard a guess you were a guest of his in which case

John Terry post match:
"I didn't mean to do it, everyone knows I'm not that type of player"
-

That's the point - everyone knows he is.
This has been Guardiola's undoing. He's allowed the whole club to be Messi centric. Look how many have left or come close to leaving because of it. They were at their best when playing 4-3-3. They really need a break and to reassess their modus operandi. Though this summer looks like it will offer little respite for them.
Now Maureen has finally overcome them will he really leave now for a cold wet Wednesday night in Stoke? Hopefully he was right about one thing, he didn't think Madrid would be seeing Chelsea in the final.
