What the world needs is a double sided disc hub, so we can have a disc brake and a bolt on sprocket. If it was 20mm x 110mm DH standard, it would be trivial to adapt it to any rear fitment.
Surly Fixxers are handy, but only work with Shimano hubs, which are hardly at the forefront of hub tech these days. Also, the Fixxer attachment might not like aggressive use (e.g. off road), and you still have as much dish as the donor cassette hub, so the wheel is weaker than a proper SS build.
