Yeah man, we only did the short route at 35 miles or so but still, 3 reasonably steep hills pretty much in a row, brutal indeed. Was waiting for the g/f as she threw the toys out after the first hill.

We were on a club run which took in some of the route. I'm glad I wasn't doing the sportive it looked brutal, taking in the difficult side of Leith and Whitedown, and that little bump I saw you on.

We did go on to do the non Zigzag side of Box Hill though. The only redeeming feature of which were the superb "Flandrian" lanes on the approach.
