To be fair, properly prepared/seasoned tofu is pretty good! (I'm a carnivore).

I don't mind tofu when it has been deep fried and is served with sweet chilli dipping sauce as the texture changes to a pleasant chewy one (a bit like haloumi) from one that is too like congealed snot for my liking.

#haven'teatenonein25yearsYes I ate a mac burger once, 20 years ago. Caused diarrhoea and projectile vomiting from the fecal matter. Never again.

If it's properly prepped, ie the whole squashing it between heavy objects for 30 mins or whatever, it has less of the congealed snot texture ;)

No its all good I wouldn't go on the veggie thread, so I would never learn this otherwise. I still doubt that I would ever eat it again though given my previous experiences.

Doesn't that just mean you like the seasoning and could leave the tofu behind? Why not just put the seasoning on a good bit of beef or chicken?

Can't be any worse than tofu or any meat substitute which tastes like sick IMO.
Awaits masses of mung bean eaters telling me I could not be more wrong
Depends on whose sick.
I spent 3 days doing a doc in a Tofu factory. Lovely Jap machinery, was filthy, they were cleaning each bit before we shot.
Apart from 'everything' we still never discovered what it could be used for.
We asked each day, oh delicious burgers, mince, sausages, soles for shoes, crash mats for the gym... They were like the moonies.
Needless to say having seen it made, sick might be better.
I hear pineapple makes sick taste sweet, or is that something else ? hmmmn

I have been struggling over whether I can afford or justify 200 quid on getting an ultegra wheelset for my roadbike from jejamescyles. Then I look at the infographic in the article and it makes me really quite want a nice pallet with a 100 million dollars on it to help me make that decision

its a disgrace, an embarassment, shocking, unbelieveable, but, where can i get me a stack of greenbacks !
we need a decade of anarchy across the world, smash corporate greed, wipe out all debts, kill people like bob diamond in the face, start again financially, smash the governments of the world etc etc etc
and then lets all live in peace and harmony a la california in the 60's ( excluding the hells angels at the rolling stones concert )
Well thats my manesfesto do I get your vote ?
