Nice, but for a 'boutique' build like that the mismatch of stem/post and to a lesser extent wheels bothers me.
IF are a funny lot. They're top of my list for dream custom steel builders should I have a windfall, yet I can't think of a single bike they've done that I really, really like. A couple that are great with a couple of niggles, but loads and loads that I don't really like at all. Yet I still want one. #brandwhore.

You and me both Sanddancer, they're also the top of my list for dream custom steel but hard to find a nice looking one.
My favourite is their Club Racer (massive repost), it even got the component I'd run it as;

the problem always seems to be with the build choices not the frames themselves. You can't really hold IF responsible for how tasteless American customers build their frames up can you?

and wtf is wrong with Enve wheels? To me they are porn. I have no idea what the performance comparison is with Zipps and lightweights - but on looks alone I would go Enve every time.

I does appear that way, it just looks really bizarre.

And the fact a nicely built up one is rare suggests they only appeal to the tasteless people.

Nothing wrong with Enve/Edge wheels; I'd love a set and have some of their forks on my Ti bike. You should probably ignore my comment on the wheels. I was just thinking that I'd like matching finishing kit and with the Edge wheels it could do with matching stem/post, but thinking about it, I reckon the Edge stem would be too chunky and bulbous to work on that frame and the post graphics too bold.
I think I'd have gone for the black on black 3T Team stem and post.
BTW, there is an ad for IF in this month's Rouleur featuring a SSR Max build that I think is pretty much spot on.
Edit - this bike:
Though I think my favourite would be an XS, white lugs, carbon tubes, but with straight seat stays.

Do the £2k / £3k cranks make this HHSB?.............
-
• #62697
What's the computer thingy hanging off the saddle? Got to do with the star-trekky cranks?
-
• #62698
I think the £2k of rear wheel makes it more of a race bike.

I hear you but I just wondered because part of the HHSB formula seems to be wheels or a single component costing 3 or 4 time what your frame / rest of the bike costs...
great bike whatever it falls into
