That was a nerve wracking but hugely enjoyable evening.

RDM deserves huge credit for his strategy and the players for implementing it. The goal was breath-taking. Lampard's pass, Ramieres' cross, Drogba's finish.

Poor refereeing and the lino on our side had a shocker. Ref fell for every dive by Messi.

Drogba was the right choice to head the line and played out of his socks. Even the pauses he obtained by staying down whenever he was fouled worked well and gave some respite.

Barca were not able to get into the penalty area to dive for a penalty and that blew their game plan. Messi was diving five to ten yards out of the box and Cech and the wall worked on each occasion.

Good result. I would have been happy with 0-0 but 1-0 is so much better. More of the same if possible next week but I suspect that the ref will be wise to it and start sending Chelsea players off early. UEFA will get their all Spanish final.

Fuck Clive, you won the game, put in an imense diffencive effort and scored an amazing goal. Now all you can do is harp on about how you were still hard done by and how Barca cheated and dived. Granted there is some positive in your post but come on. How can you critisize diving then praise time waisting? Pot? Kettle?
