Around 1000 people are likely to turn up again this year and Southwark Cyclists only cater for around 750 on coaches back. Another 60-70 will sort their own minibuses or get collected from the beach and the same again will either camp or ride back. Leaves around 100 people getting the train either from Halesworth/Darsham or Ipswich. Even if the guard allows 15-20 bikes on each train, which there is no guarantee of, you could still be getting home later than a coach trip and spending a lot of time hanging around at the train station rather than at the beach.

OK thanks for that. I hate buses, they give me headaches, but if its the only viable option then I'll have to go with it.
