If you unplug it after it's been charging, and then plug it in again, it says 'plugged in, not charging' no matter how much battery life is apparently left. I've tried all the methods suggested by Googling the problem - uninstalling the ACPI battery monitor thing and letting it reinstall, changing to Eco power mode and back again, but so far the only thing that works is turning my computer off, taking the battery out and putting it back in again. So far (three times), it's worked every time, but it's a bit of a hassle.
Is my laptop battery fucked?

Is it a software or hardware problem?
