The surfer image displays it a lot more than the bmx one. There's a band across the middle which is, as near as damn it, uniformly sharp despite being different distances from the camera and blurred parts are also uniformly blurred.
I could be wrong though, maybe this is how a t&s lens renders the image. I haven't used one enough to know. On the occasions I have used one though, I have noticed that the blur seems less severe and the transition more gradual but again, could be my inexperience.
Brickman, MrSmyth or possibly Metrolandman? might know better as I think they make regular use of this type of equipment.
