Saw a couple of fighter jets over Anglesey today... I was excited, it was cool.

That image of Concorde is one of the best ever.

I flew New York to London on Concorde, it was very cool.

Very small, inside.

I remember being at the beach one morning in the Scilly Isles as a kid and hearing a massive boom out at sea. I thought it was either an explosion or a shipping container falling off a crane on another island. Found out later that day it was Concorde doing its thing.

Yes, one of the best ever images of the Tu-144 prototype.

Clues are; all engines inboard of main gear, 6-wheel bogies on main gear, blend point of wing/fuselage etc. Final production Tu-144 was very different, so I can see how the curved leading edge would make a careless person think of Concorde

The Konkordski that crashed at the Paris airshow in the video above isn't the same aircraft as the one in the photos on the previous page. The photos show the prototype, with compound curves on the leading edge of the wing from when the Soviets were still trying to copy Concorde outright, but it wasn't stable across the speed range.

The design that crashed in Paris has cranked delta wings with straight edges and canard foreplanes, after they decided to give up trying to copy Concorde and went with a slightly more 'agricultural' solution.

The problem with Koncordski is it was pretty much unflyable...
