Is that actually true?

I mean I know it does, but it isn't it like alu corroding? Is there any meaningful effect in reality?

Cant you get wax to protect it.

UV light definitly causes degradation of the polymeric binder. In a polymer like epoxy resin, I would expect this to be quite a slow process. I've no idea, but it would surprise if they're arent some UV stabilisers present in the resin/ clearcoat.

Still hang my carbon furthest from the workroom window though.
