it usually says next to the power inlet what it needs. Write that down, take a photo of where the power plug goes, and go to a Maplin, they should have an adapter that'll work

It doesn't actually say anything next to the socket. But its a Euroline plug socket. It needs a plug like this.

does it need a transformer?
Where the power enters it, there will be a symbol marking whether its center or outer positive and its preferred nutritional requirements. For most things you can get a universal transformer or specific single transformer from RS for <£10
