it seems a but underexposed to me. What was the shutter speed? If your ISO was 200 than I'd expect the shutter speed to be at least a few secs. The orange area seems to have better definition, I bet if you used auto focus then the camera was focusing on the orange part not the whole thing.
And yes, you'd get a better result without the window.
