Broken eye socket, broken jaw and zygomatic fracture.
Not only a hell of an injury to recover from, but because of the nature of it, eating proper food will be painful. He'll be lining up in France, a little 'lighter' i imagine.

Tom and the team manager paid a fine for that btw, last 20km there's not supposed to be any handing over of food/drink

I did wonder about that during the race, but guessed it must be ok, because why rake the risk if you ate leading the race?

my money would be on valverde and sagan, but he had a bad tumble on the pil so not so sure how fit he is atm, maybe cunego too...

Loved the reaction of second place though!

That finale was awesome. It had everything. First Freire seizing up, then Gilbert, then Sagan leaving Gasparotto to nick it as last man standing.
