I wore my O'Neils helmet last night for the first time, absolutely loved it. Really comfortable, lots of nice padding which has an antibacterial property. The plastic has a nice flex to it but still sturdy, and it felt quite airiated (not a word). Good grill, hardly noticed it at all.
Recommends.
http://www.oneills.com/accessories/helmets.htmlAnd the colour coordination that you had going in with your jersey made you look divine, mycro is so last year, (off trend).

Thanks Pie. S'all about the colour co-ordination.
What size did you get. I'd need XL, but they don't seem to have any sizing info.

id be interested if theres a group discount too

^ When I contacted them a couple of weeks ago, they did say if buying through a club rep would mean discount. They have given me the contact of their London rep, although at that point, Joni has already asked the same question. If she's not heard from them, maybe John H or someone else from LHBPA could email them and ask again? I can PM their London rep's contact.
It might be worth mentioning when I asked about group buy as a one off, they only said buying through the club, so I think if any discount were to happen, it has to be negotiated via LHBPA.

Potentially interested too Jones. Could I possibly try yours on? My Jofa is really heavy but after headbutting the boards at Cambs (and crawling away!), I'm wary of anything lighter...

T-shirt group order? ^
I did speak to someone at O'Neills, yes, but as I said they're quite clueless. They basically said if there was a bulk order then there would be a discount. No mention of how many or how much. They did give me a contact if you're interested.

Gonna look into it when i have a mo...kev was saying that was essentially a typo. cycling specific helmets are not mandatory. jono brought this point up on LOBP. maybe he was talking to kev more since, and knows more. but as far as i know, it's the same as now pretty much.

It seems like they told you sth quite different than what they told me. Think I am going to give that woman a call on Monday and find out. But I guess it's probably not worth the hassle. Maybe a group buy just to save on postage?
Wicksie, is that the same contact that I sent you? Or a different person? I think her name is Sue or sth.

With regards to the Mycro Hurling helmets, I hit the ground pretty hard yesterday when my chain jumped off while sprinting.
My head hit the ground and also had my bike land on it.
I felt pretty much none of the contact to my head.
Gives me a bit more confidence in hurling helmets for more than just high mallets.\csb

another site lists as
M: 54-56cm
L: 57-59cm
XL: 60-63cmim 59-60 do people think a large or XL?
although Chan thinks he might be 59 but has a medium so im confused

Large, I reckon.
I've got a large, and about a 58cm head, but easily fits a larger headed person.
-
• #1447
Yeah, I have a large and around a 62cm head, it still fits (it was marginally tight fitting when I first used it).
-
• #1448
cool! sound like a Large will be perfect, there are a load of large blue ones here £44 each with free postage

I'm pretty sure you're head hit the ground twice before the bike landed on it. Spectacular stuff
