I've got 177.5 on my T3, so if it's inadvisable then I'm operating against advice. If your legs are long enough and you compensate with the gear ratio to keep the gain ratio constant, there's no reason to worry, unless you're on a steep track.
sweeet. i'm doing it then - i have a 36" inside leg and run 180's on my mtb so it won't feel strange - just maybe some problems with toe overlap but i'll try not to turn any corners ;)
