    I would'nt be thinking about the fractional increase in flex the stem/bar design allows. If I was, I'd have be throwing my money at an all together different bike.

  • My own Fatbike has been but on the back burner, waiting for frame delays, and funds. This has made made me want to speed things up a touch.

    So nice.

  • I have been looking into the whole gumwall clinchers situation - seems like the options are:

    Challenge criterium - mixed reviews
    Vittoria SC evo's - pricey and nice but seem to be for racing
    Micheline Pro Race 3's - come in 'ivory' sidewalls, which is near-ish to gum. Mixed reviews re: their puncture protection.. although you can get a pair for the price of 1 Vittoria, so maybe worth a punt.
    Veloxflex - expensive, cut up quickly and very little puncture proctection

    We should add the Deda Tre Corsa RS to this list.

  • I'll vouch for Pro3 Race tyres. I run them all summer on my track and on my road bike. I love them. Not gumwall though.

    I have Veloflex (pave/master) front and rear on the fixed. Which has seen some pretty nasty conditions, rough mountain roads, and all while carrying a 85Kg lump.

    They grip no matter what.
    They are uber smooth.
    They are light.
    They have lasted the the claimed kms well.
    They have only had a single pucture each.

    I'll be replacing them like for like when they eventually die.

    Anybody averaging less than 20mph will be faster on 25s, assuming they clear the frame.
