get the tape measure out and work out the distance from bb to where your sit bones would be on a saddle/bike that is correctly set up for you. Then replicate that and the angle back from the bb as best you can.
It sounds like you've got widish sit bones and so are naturally sliding back to where the saddle is wider. The nice thing about the Arione is the extra length and how comfortable the nose is to sit on when you're putting some power down.. however I've found they just don't work that well for me over say, 70k +..
Fwiw, I find that Arione is perfect for riding in the drops, but that I sink into/around it when I'm on the hoods or tops (when your sit bones naturally widen again as you become more upright)
