Carried over from functional:
Love the butchery and assembly of three frames put together. The bridge is a win!

Standard recumbent diy, tons of those on the net.

Trying to picture the riding poition. Sems like you'd need ape arms to reach the controls?
-
• #2667
not with a retarded bridge/rollbar/headsmasher there isn't.

I think that top bar brace tube comes over your shoulder like a 3 point car seatbelt would, and rear wheel looks 26" to give an idea of scale.
Bars look like hand position would be just above knee whilst riding, sort of like a porteur bike? So probably not bad. Will see if the guy has a video/ photo of someone on it.

I see 2 shifters but no front mech.
-
• #2671
Or like a shoulder strap? Basicly you could just stand up and walk around with the front wheel dangling between your legs...

I see 2 shifters but no front mech.
Internal gear I reckon, hubs look rather large.
-
• #2673
+1 he is a brompton + rohloff man, so yeah, prob a gear hub + cassette as well for some massive gear range
-
• #2674
i take it this guy is never looking left.

Warning; a purposeful repost..
Direct link to Flickr of the recumbent:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/cycleologist/7055077739/sizes/l/in/photostream/The original size is flipped upside down, but you can clearly see it's an internal gear hub. The gear pull (fuck knows the name of it?) is not fitted for use and dangles down the 'rear' mech.
Guy seems to be well into recumbents and other special stuff, and runs such a shop in Glasgow.
yup it is. looks awesome.
