one is wide angle, one is more normal. I've got both, the 14mm is good for more landscapy stuff, the 20 is better for general stuff, street, indoor etc. It's better in low light since it's f1.7 rather than f2.5.
The 20mm is generally considered a great lens so I would get that, it'll give you a fantastic setup. The 14mm is cheap, I got mine for £100 or so on ebay but I'd get the 20 first, it's a joy to use
