ive never accuratly bothered weighing a bike till saw this thread. only ever comparef to "brickmans tried and tested pick it up and guess to nearest 5lb routine"
i.e i guessed my marin mtb was 30lb ish. ideal weighr for a 6" all mountain bike with dj proff wheels and cheap tyres. turns out it was 12.5kg whatwcer that is in english
commuter 90s road bike thats 2sizes too small for me. 10.0kg dead. still heavy compared to crabon fribre. but then its a commuter.
70s jackson road wuth touring wheels. 10.5kg. not bad for 40yr old with overly heavy wheels
the lightestest? a ss mtb made from scrap/ worn out stuff at 9.5kg
the most fun? the marin mtb. yeah could be lighter but i love it. road bikes make me clench through every pothole, cateye and cut in the road. on mtb can manual down the hill to work, pop over walls, session the cprners like im im on a dh course and arrive at work will biggest grin ever*
