I've been using one of these: (Ergon Bc2) for a couple of months.
Got it 'cos it was pretty cheap (£85 new) and i've got a dodgy back.
Pretty impressed. It keeps the weight really low and you hardly feel it at all.
It keeps a lot of the pack off your back so hopefully it won't pong as much as every other pack i've used on the bike.
It also gives your shoulders much more freedom to move.
The only real downside is it doesn't have a huge capacity. And I wouldn't have paid the £125+ they seem to sell for.
(Swinnerton Cycles had a sale on them but seem to have sold out now)
