Depends what your after I think.
For cheap full frame can't beat the Canon 5D1.
Canon also benefit from having the 70-200 F4 lenses. you want a pro tele zoom in Nikon you have to go F2.8 and it's a lot pricier.
Nikon CLS beats Canon flash hands down though, there's the whole compatibility thing, with about 3 exceptions any Nikon lens ever made will fit on any Nikon body ever made.
If video is your thing then I think that unless you go to a D800 then Canon has the edge, even in their cheaper bodies.
