How did Forest do today?

I remember when Aston Villa used to play football. They were shit today, Stoke-lite. 2 goals by 2 different Englishmen for the Arse. Trying to figure out the last time that happened.
Also, can someone explain to me how a highly paid professional sportsman, looked after by highly paid sports scientists, can get injured in the warm-up? FFS.

Anyway, what a difference it makes to have 2 fit full-backs. Sagna is a monster, and Gibbs was very, very solid, and got a goal. Theo, great game, even managing to flatten his full back in the box in aerial challenge. The guy lay on the ground, probably in shock (or shame, more likely), for about 5 minutes.
Also, watching the kick-about before the game, I had one of those, oh my god, that is so cool, football moments as Chamakh & Santos were hitting balls across the pitch and receiving them with the foot behind the standing leg, flicking the ball over their heads and then trapping the ball with the same foot in front of them. Brilliant, and all part of the actually being there match experience.

Kinky interview on BBC Radio:
***'We need a bigger squad!'
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha . . .
Perhaps if you hadn't wasted over £100 million on average (at best) players you could either have addressed the squad or bought players who could cope with more games, poor lambs in the Libpool squad.....so hard done by.

Yes, an unbelievable strike. Is it me, or should Given have got to this? He was nowhere near it.
Arteta has been excellent everytime I have seen him, especially considering that he does a lot more donkey work than I imagine he used to do for the Toffees. A clever player, seems to know when to draw a foul, and also when to make a foul, IYSWIM. Not exactly the same, but he sort of reminds of Gilberto Silva, disciplined, unflashy, and never seems to give the ball away. Still seems a bit wrong to see him in red & white, as opposed to blue, though.

Wenger has some very wierd things to say about it:
I prefer it when he takes free-kicks with his laces because he has short feet. Usually the guys who have good insight have bigger, longer feet, and when a guy has short feet like that they are very talented at hitting the ball with their laces. The ball floats a little bit when they take it and I think he is more built to hit the free-kicks like that.
Huh?

Ok, retracted. He (Kos) had a bad knee when he woke up, but they hoped he could run it off.

I remember that too. Macleish was never right for us - nothing to do with coming from the scum. Just plays shit football. He needs to Fuck off - get to 40 points and get a proper manager in.
Liverpool though - LOL. Sorry festus.

Agbonlohor was anonymous, didn't even realise he was on the pitch until the second half. Your best forward was the feller on the other side, Albrighton, but that wasn't saying much. Heskey is still fucking massive, though. Djourou is pretty tall, and not exactly lightweight, but he looked like a school-boy stood next Heskey.

He knows when to step in and change the pace of the game, a great reader of the game and one of the few players who gives out the orders on the pitch. Be tough to see what Wenger will do when jack comes back. Arteta has done so well I can see jack being phased back slow

I honestly think Liverpoo would be higher in the league if we hadn't bought all those players and banked the 100million
I hope Mourinho has a similar sized budget to spend when he joins us in the summer -
• #55349
Still think Arteta's a bit too Spanish when he goes to ground. Theo's goal was a peach, in fact he continued to have a good season, quite happy that the know nothings take the piss while he quietly gets on with providing the assists. Thomas is on fire at the moment, thrilling to watch, will he be captain next year? RvP had an awful game, apparently he just didn't want to score, perhaps it's time to off load him.
Villa have been made into a proper mcleish side, 2-0 down they just dug in deeper, no fucking ambition, don't know how the fans put up with that dross. And why the hell didn't they take their full allocation? Hour and a half down the motorway and they can't bring a full contingent? Shameful.

I hope to read tomorrows headlines that KK has done the honourable and right thing now and agreed to go at the end of the season.
