My first Floatilla..
Julian is turning 50 this weekend. I met him when I was getting work done in Enflied, he's the man who painted my hatch. He's a boat painter, as you might imagine, Julian's boat is amazing. The paintwork is immaculate, of course, but more than that, Julian is a man of refined tastes. He was the architect of his boat's design and as such it has vintage steamliner brass windows.. they are stunning.
I have severe boat envy.
Anyhow, for his 50th we have all been invited to take part in a flotilla party. Basically, its the boating equivilant to a pub crawl and on Sunday I'm joining them to putter along in a long line of narrowboats to various locations and partake in a moving party... I AM SO EXCITED.
I'm also more than a little aprehensive... everyone is better at driving their boats than I am and the thought of possibly making a total ass of myself is a bit scary. Nonetheless, I am determined to partake.
