  • over expose by half a stop if in date, 2/3 if slightly out of date and it'll be fine.
    It grains up real bad in the shadows (think the iso200 rating is a bit higher than it really is?), other than that, go for it, I used it extensively when abroad as its cheap enough to just have a mountain of it and shoot like crazy

    Ae1's do make a screaming noise on some speeds (slower than natural 1/125th?) when they need servicing (old oil dries up, need fresh lube in allsorts of places), as its on the slower speeds the slight drag doesn't really affect performance to the extent of bothering worrying about it TBH. I.E. 1/30th might come up more like 1/20th
