    had a very fat weekend here. friday fish n chips from the windmill chipppy in kenninton.

    saturday had a very nice pancetta, pea mint and creme fraiche pasta cooked my brother in law and bought a 2.2kg piece of prime forerib from the ginger pig in greensmiths on lower marsh to roast on sunday.

    the beef was amazing. no messing just roasted it to rare perfection with savoy cabbage, carrots, roasties, one huge yorkshire (big enough for 6) and roasting tin gravy. it was fabulous.

    possibly even better were the leftovers. slice of toasted rye bread, soft butter, big slice of pink rare cold roast beef, sprinkle with maldon sea salt and a smear of wholegrain mustard. washed a couple of them down with a nice rioja last night. oh my.

    trousers definitley feeling tight today.
