This might be a repost but I saw these a while ago and just found them again. Awesome 8mm footage of guys in the 60's driving 250GTO's & California Spiders up Mulholland Drive like anyone else would drive an old MGB. Tales of painting Ferraris in olive drab and taking them to Ferrari Owners club meets. Nice that footage like this is still around and hasn't been lost.

VW Scirocco GT - any thoughts? Looking to replace my company car and as my request for an S3 Sportback has been turned down I'm possibly looking to go for the Scirocco - though I could get a 2.0 TFSI A3 instead if I want.

Aren't they essentially the same car?

completely different in terms of practicality/space and most reviews saying the scirocco has its own feel (as opposed to the golf).

What I meant is that they're made from the same parts/chassis but the skin is different.

They're bound to be different because they're for different markets.

Yeah I know they're both based on the golf, anyway could plump for an under powered A4 or a middle of the road diesel but wouldn't mind having a bit of fun just now. Looking like the scirocco is going to win, even if it means I can only take 2 passengers up north/to france on ski trips.

The only pick up would consider owning would be one of those fifties things.

Car passed it's MOT- 0 advisories, which is nice for a 16 year old car.

It's also had it's map tweeked, boost raised and timing advanced.
