  • That Shinscar fellow knows his films, he does. :)

  • I watched milk last night which was pretty good and i also watched this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcRyNY13Nnc

which was very interesting and had heart but just wasn't that well executed.

  • As film adaptations go Naked Lunch wasn't too bad and by far, for me, the best, most faithful translation of book to film was Ken Russell's adaptation of Paddy Chayefsky's Altered States.

  • Fear and loathing in Las Vegas is a great book to film adaptation. Its such a short book that nothing had to be cut out.

  • watched Rum diary few weeks back, moves at the pace of the book but doesn't work well as a film. it's not a great book to be honest but about the only one that could go into a film other than F&L

  • Oh Greasy Slag whatever did we start...:)

a classic story of a policeman who gets rebuilt as half a robot was always going to catch on.. such a great film!

  • Watched The Sitter last night... Thought it was gonna be absolute crap but turned out to be OK...

Watched Melancholia a coupla nights ago, loved it... Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kirsten Dunst are brilliant in it...

  • the sitter by the same fella that did Pinapple express? cast looked a touch shoddy.

watched captain america.. jesus H Deckard Christ what a total fuckup of a film, not one redeemable feature, not a fucking iota. one of the few films i got 3/4 of the way through and wanted to turn it off but held on hoping it would do something. it ended in completely the wrong place flipping my lid. they did more work setting up a sequel than putting some plot and direction into the film!

did however see Rango - animated yes, classic Fuck yeah. so well written and some great characters.. Depp is perfect for the part.

speaking of perfect for the part (see what i did there.. natural) really getting into Dirk Gently - Steven Manglen is brilliant!
