Another commute, another near wipe out.
Riding up the hill of doom, coming the other way, is a van (trashed LDV) towing another van (scrap fodder merc with no engine/ front end/ windscreen/doors etc) with its rear axle locked, one wheel is dragging in the tarmac, the other still has a tyre on it. And they're cooking, going 30+ with this wild LWB locked up scrap merc all over the shop behind it.
Ok so thats bad right?
Wrong. Gets worse.
Some tool decides its a great place to overtake (right into me), they probably couldn't see me because of the smoke, sparks + red rage of being stuck behind the scrap merc; which swung out wildly at exactly the wrong time. FFS
Earlier in the day, other way, same bit of road, fiesta overtakes me, then pulls left on me immediatly. thank fuck I was on a more modern bike today, dual pull brakes + fresh pads saved my ass. Was so unbelievably close to going under back left wheel I could taste blood.
