What is the actual difference of where it is made? i.e. are the turks that bad at the construction? Are US employees that good? Or is this like Taiwanese plastic frame snobbery?
It is kind of like 'Made in Britain.' I know that means nothing now, but just say it did, it carries prestige, quality control, means it is usually well built. Now compare that to what people think of when something says 'Made in China.' Mass produced, lack of quality control, cheap, poorly built.
Exactly the same principle for jeans. I would rather wear something that said made in Japan, than something that says made in Turkey because it has a reputation for well made products. As is evident from the quality between a pair of my made in Japan Edwin's vs my made in Turkey Nudies. I know they're different companies but the quality is on a different level.
