I don't know much about clothing, but speaking to friends in the product / furniture business, english manufacturing has been completely dropped by the chinese. They have now caught up in everything – price, quality, speed, communication, support, you name it. The only real benefit from uk manufacture is the ability to label it 'made in the uk' and then hike the price up a bit.
