Pike Brothers are releasing a pair of 23oz soon. 1958 fit. Look absolutely amazing! Limited to 1000 pairs though I believe. So no doubt, will cost upwards of £200. Could be worth it though.

They're worth whatever people are happy to pay.
I don't mind paying £120 for a pair of jeans I'll be able to wear daily for 1-2 years.
Same with boots, I'm only on the 2nd year of my £250 boots, and in that time i would've gone through 5 pairs of vans, so next year they will have payed for themselves, and I will still have a nice pair of worn in boots with a good few years left in them

You have to wear your jeans a fuck of a lot to get them looking good, I wore my Ricksons at least 5 days a week for about a year and a half... They looked fantastic 'til the stitching gave way one rainy night in Rome (rotted away, they've never been washed), they've been waiting to get repaired for about 8-9 years now...

I can safely say that I have worn a pair of jeans every day for two years. Maybe had an off day here and there. But close to it. And they look fantastic! You think £200 is bad... this utterly ridiculous pair of jeans that come in at a whopping 32oz, cost £565.

+1
if you want jeans looking good, you need to spend time in them. It's all about the sweet spot, after a year of everyday wear they get really good, then it's usually a matter of months before they collapse...

I actually tried the Naked and Famous pair on, just to see what they were like, because I definitely wasn't going to be buying them. I can safely say I have never worn anything so uncomfortable in my entire life. I couldn't move my legs! It was like having card wrapped around your leg, and they were just ridiculously heavy.
The denim wasn't even crisp. It was fluffy and dirty looking. Just not nice at all. If anyone purchased them with the intention of wearing them, they have more money than sense.

ergo:

..what do i know anyway, my idea of denim has to include lycra in it for 'comfort'...

Learning stuff today. I didn't realise that;
1) American Classics was still around since King's Road shop closed.
2) Levis 1955 were available again. I had a pair when I was about 15, found in One-Legged Jokey, Portsmouth. Loved them, but they didn't last long due to their age. How much do they retail for now?
