  • Faffing about with colours.. that stem stencil is too tempting.

Condor bar tape is pretty stingy in length. It took several attempts to eke out sufficient length to cover the tops. Not as much overlap on the bends as I'd like :|

  • I think that's the first time I've seen coloured tyres looking good on a bike!

    repped
(but the box is a bit flat for that though?)

  • I know this is very much in the wrong section, but I seem to be unable to post a thread?!?!? Any advise?

  • Go to the nursery thread and read the first post - here http://www.lfgss.com/thread9350.html

  • for sale, one merkxs, gas pipe tubing £700

  • ill merkxs ya for it

  • Given FSA's notoriety for owning Italian scales

bb and cranks with 2 rings and ziptied baggie of pedal spacers come up to 690g according to park tools ds-2 digi scales (stated 680g which i assume is for 170 or 172.5 arms not 175)

I have been looking at xtr on crc which is a marginal price further up, but no bb included and its weight is stated at "sub 700" without bb so i think i shall stick with these.

  • I'm sure they're worth £200, I just don't think they were ever worth £400

  • Hey guys, just looking to put together some new wheels, hoping to go for phil wood high flange hubs with some tb14 rims, any thoughts, don't really know much about phil wood, are they as good as they sound?

  • I prefer Paul hubs (find them more aesthetically pleasing) but Phil Woods have a great reputation.

  • I loved my Phil wood hubs. Sadly I sold them :(

  • ^^that doesn't make sense

  • I'm sure they're worth £200, I just don't think they were ever worth £500

regarding the behind the curtain chinese company, do you reckon one would be able buy direct? or buy from china and import? this might be getting into murky waters, and then even if they do there would be import tax

  • ^^that doesn't make sense

    That's why it's shit.

  • what is shit? paul, phil, what?

  • Both are fine, just decided on which one you like the look of.

  • Phils look slightly nicer, Pauls are slightly cheeper...mmm

Mine are very quiet; if you like that kind of thing, go for the Phils.
