+1 for a Kangoo. I've used a couple of them and they're great cars. My dad presently has a kangoo van as a parts-getter. It's the second one we've had and I'm still impressed. The 'car' version is supposed to be even better.
@Skully - Skoda Yeti. A bit like Ann Widdecombe - as tough as old boots with looks to match. Big inside and plenty of room to transport small people (and all the crap which is necessary) as well as bicycles.

Can't afford a yeti. They're too new for 2nd hand bargains just yet. But I drove one last summer and liked it OK. Looks like I'm having a Skoda roomster. From a forum person, no less. Suitably dorky-looking for me. But it drives nicely.
