Posted this a while ago but nearly, nearly finished it. Thankfully realised that I didn't need to buy a new rear wheel and could just respace the XT wheel I bought originally. Then had to redish it, something I'd never done before.
Just waiting for a nice set of cantis to turn up on ebay or here and it should be good to go. Oh, and it's going to need a respray at some point as there's some surface rust.
Total build was <£100 (with some bits I already had lying around/came from other bikes/freecycle) and I'm pretty happy with it, to be honest.
