I think it's fairly straight forward to make say moccasins, but to make a proper shoe I'd assume you'll need a fair chunk of specialty tools. Would be an amazing thing to learn though

Some of my family were trained shoe makers in Northampton. I am not sure it would be easy to get an apprenticeship there any more because there's only a few companies left.
