Wow, what a brilliant day this was!
Preparing myself and the bike for the track first time, getting to the station, reading few articles about court cases related to software patents. Arriving at Herne Hill, realising that it's wet, way too wet. Riding to the track, getting told that the day is now washed away.Phew, what a relief! I didn't need to ride on that lousy track nor did I need to participate in the introduction session but I was able to worship the silky smooth streets of London. … where the car drivers are giving you space all the time, where the buses are not blocking your way, where the pedestrians are smiling on you and encouraging you to push harder and where there are no constructions, no congestions and nobody stops in front of you suddenly.
Yep, this little bit of drizzling was brilliant. I even managed to make my week old bike dirty although it's far from my liking. Never mind, next week it would be better! :)
Damn, how disappointed I am.

Great turn out and fast session. Had to bail after an hour to get off to the football but more importantly because I was near death.
Big thank you to Dulwich Tom for all he is doing with storage.
Great to see everyone. I will be better next week.

Had a good time. Nice to see clever pun, hoke, cliveo, Jaygee and the lesser spotted doubletap, whose looking good after the hard miles of winter...
Enjoying rolling high along the banking.. and suffering as I get kicked out the back. Smiling all the time...
Will be back next week and early!

This morning i came to the inductions and the first training, first time on a track in uk, first time on a "real one" since the only one where we can join in Milan has the lowest banks ever. Was great to see a lot of people interested in track cycling.
I'll surely be there next week too!
See u there! -

fantastic first day training today at HH and great seeing friends and lots of familiar faces plus many more new ones. Coaches had a lot of work to do on the traffic control front...no sprints allowed on last lap of rotation due to high traffic.. :| on the other hand the 25 laps that followed were some of the fastest I remember! Thanks to Tom for sorting out the bike storage and the coaches who had over 40 people in the intermediate session and 65 inductees today! record.

1pm-2pm Muptard session was shambolic but great! What a lovely hour.
Weird how some riders insist on riding a session not really appropriate for their abilities: 1-2 had a few riders too good for it.
