Best cyclocross bike under £1000 and other CX chat

Been looking at the Kinesis crosslight pro6. I'd take its aggressive racing design, and ruin it with 50/34 to 11-32 gearing, with bar end shifters. I'd probably put a rear rack on it too.

Still looks like it would be a great ride, even after I've fecked it though.

how did you find the green version? I can only see white, black and red on the product page.
