IMO you shouldn't write "UK" on your balls Harvey, as I don't like the idea NAH had to put it on Fixcrat's one.
It's not going to the international standardisation we are all expecting for I think. That sayed, I'm happy to see some new balls coming, I don't care from where it comes, just hope it will be perfect to play all year long (easier than having different balls on 4 seasons).
And still in my opinion, yours are a bit heavier than Franklin, Harvey you announce 70g, Fixcraft announce 70g, so I will see if it's the same feeling when I will test it, can't know now if I will like this new balls.
I went with 70 grams because the hot weather red franklins we were using were that weight.
I've seen in the factory, they are made by using rotational heat molds, which a liquid PVC is poured into. The same molds and recipe as used for Franklins. The process is fairly crude and there can be variations of a few grams either way. I would like to maybe do some lighter by about 8 grams, the problem is getting the right balance with temperature and low bounce qualities.
As with street hockey,we're forced to have different temperature balls for extreme weather conditions , but for general use, the standard hot weather franklin red/RV pink and fixcraft NAH are OK. -

Here's a not very serious suggestion, I'm not a branding guy which is why it's so shit...
Ace work Joe, i like it.

"RV's cold blue balls", "RV's hot pink balls", "I'd rather play with RV's balls", etc.
Very nice Joe, the mallet's interior shadow could do with a curve maybe?

^ Great idea with the hot pink, cold blue thing... And I'll leave that clever stuff to the branding guys, Jono... ;]

Thanks Harvey for the precisions.

I've never really had any interest from the US for polo balls. I sent some out to NY for a polo magazine once, nothing materialized. I initially started getting them made because it seemed odd to buy stuff from the US that was made in Thailand. All the packaging and printing involved seemed pointless too.

Love Harvey's balls, but the NAH ball is spot on for design. So good.

^really snoops? i think its rather conservative, dull. In the end the log will rub off anyway unless its embossed! USP RV!!!

I think it's too serious, classic humourless American design... IMHO...
It does the job tho'...

Thank you, I try to be concise.

This is a polo ball, not an accessory; there's no need to try and have any aesthetic. I don't want my polo ball to be 'punk-rock' or 'grungey', I just want to know why I should use it.
The Fixcraft ball clearly tells me that it is NAH approved and is for hot weather. Done.

Were your parents punk rockers, Rupert? Is that where this is coming from?
-

My mum claims to have been a mod and my dad claims to have been a hippy. They're just old now.
I thought someone mentioned all that grungey punk-rock crap earlier in the discussion.
I just don't agree that everything needs to be styled; display everything clearly so the product can be understood and then used. You might argue clearly displayed information is a style but then I'd just sigh and walk away.

Not having a pop, I'm all about functional design... I'm sure Harvey's balls will be the best dressed in the *poloverse**... And fun! More fun in polo please...

I like that it says hot in big letters, that is the only really useful information on there.
Rv balls should say if they are hot or cold balls, is there any reason not to have a nice picture too?

Woah woah woah, are you lot saying Harvey's balls already come in hot and cold varieties? How would we know which we have? We've cracked a couple on very cold nights, were they hot ones? I've got a yellow one which seems to be 'plastickier' than the other red ones, is that a hot one?
I really like that Joe.
This does looking really sweet though:
Anyway Harvey, whatever logo you decide on, I'll take a bunch with me to Kentucky in April.
