Not so for kingcutter. Most people only have one bike, they ride it everyday and procrastinate over parts and upgrades for it. They tweak it and spend illogical hours maintaining it or hunting down the right bits for it.
People get that way about cars too, but the feeling is a little more indirect as it is motorised.
