Seems to hold up alright, you got to wrap them tight though. I got some bars off Wharry a while ago that were wrapped like this and picked it up from there.

Just got Klein #2.
Fuck what I said about not wanting it. Its a thing of genuine beauty.
Will start a thread when I've been to the jumble tomorrow and decided on finishing kits for both....
Klein #1 will become a TT/ Tri bike (as its a 54 essentially), or I might build it up with full Ultegra and sell it on.
Klein #2 will become a road monster- aiming for the lightest build I can afford- Currently Sram Force Carbon, and other light stuff.
Excited. -

On that note- internal cable routing. One of the sets has lost its guide-y thing.
a) Where can I get a new one?
b) How do I re route it through
c) Is it a massive pita? -

never really 'got' the whole Klein thing - but does sound like fun

c) Is it a massive pita?I did this recently - you will need some cable liner.
Adroit is the expert in such Klein matters, I will Pm you his and my advice. -

My concorde fixed build is officially finished, just need to get all the sticky shit that's somehow smothered the outside of the bar tape...

No not really, the chap who had it made was a scouser but i think there was a witcomb in east london, possibly a different one? I seem to remember reading some where that Richard Sachs apprenticed there as well briefly.
Witcomb used to be based in Deptford and Richard Sachs, and one of the other well known US framebuilders (Ben Serotta?), did their apprenticeships there. Loads more info on this thread;

I love what you've done to your Whitcomb.

I used this webapp, based on the classic SpokeCalc.xls, to work out the spokes for my new spare polo wheels, which would consist of used, destickered Mavic D521 rims on a DMR Revolver non-disc front hub and an On-One Inbred double free/fixed rear, both 32 spokes 3-cross.
The spokes and hubs arrived this week so I started building last night.
The DMR is a 36h so that eBayer got negged.
Mavic don't publish real ERDs, I measured the On-One hub with a vernier caliper and I used 14mm nipples. The calulator said 261.6 so I bought 262mm DT Competitions. Result is that I've reached the end of the threads and barely taken up the slack.
Le Fail. No wheels. -

From the ebays. Woman got a new project.
Coyote ultralight alu. Not sure about the stays and the fork. Heavy as sin for alu but definitely something i'd feel comfortable locking up outside. -

suggestions for a new, NOS or good condition used rack, this style, this small/medium size?
I already have a balaclava

Basil.

How is it cold enough for a balaclava but warm enough for no gloves and shorts.
Or is this some underground milk buying?
I was really asking about the reverse wrap. I have heard people do it so they can ride on the tops. It does look really good, will it roll back on itself?
Yeah I found out that it was a different one I think from one of the more northerly cities (could be totally wrong however)
