• Complete Halo builds like MGs are by far the most economical. 48 hubs are expensive unless you get piece-of-shit quandos or 'vintage' tandem things. Cartridge bearings are a very wise investment, and don't cost *that *much more.

    If for some perverse reason I was ever looking for some cup n cone hubs/wheels, I'd demand that the person/shop I bought them from supplied me with a complete set of bearings, cones, axles and hub races if applicable. If everyone did the same, shit hubs would only be found on BSOs and high-end road/track bikes, as they should be, because finding suitable bits is FUCKING HARD WORK!
