Steve uses that bike everyday as a messenger for TCB, it's gets used a lot. Putting a new tire on and checking everything on the bike is working is a good thing to do if you are going out on a 3 hour non stop ride on the paradise loop.
I have done this ride with them before and the last thing you want to happen is be the one who was not prepared and then drags them down because they all have to wait for you.
