Don't cut the fork. Unnecessary.
maybe not necessary, but it will save weight and i hate spacers on top of the stem.

Leave a tiny bit of spacer on top for safety, especially on carbon steerer.

In that case fit the bits you have laying around and complete with purchases as and when. I wouldn't go mental on the spending though.
Turns out it has 27" wheels, I wanted 700c, I converted my fixie to 700c and don't like the gap but have good 700c wheels and tyres lying around. Plus he's gun a clean it up and sell it for a lot more than I offered for it. Can't really blame him.

I too loved to have a Seta, it tick all the box, I can easily imaging it to be made a lots lighter than that.
Nice work Eingang, reckon you'll enjoyed that a lots more than your previous bike.
The whole thing about fixed hill climbing is the responsive nature of the drivechain. The lack of freewheel means near zero lag. I competant cyclist could simply maintain pedal pressure.
Stiffness is everything.

it's at such a pointy angle because some idiot cut down the post when i lent it to him and how i need it it pointing at the heavens so i can pinch it for bar spins. in my defense though i think the seat must have been knocked recently it's not normaly that extreme

Took the 8 speed Campag off the Mrs bike last night and replaced it with 10 speed Chorus- dropped a lot of weight!
The rims have a pronounced ridge where they were welded- what's the best way of getting rid of this?
I am considering either a localised Dremeling, or maybe sandpaper wrapped around the brake blocks.

Good plan- I'll grab the shears and take a walk to the money tree that grows in the woods nearby.

Installing a SRAM brake caliper to a carbon fork and I'm a bit hesitent to use the serrated-edge washer in case it rips into the carbon. Was thinking of adding a thin plastic "washer" between the fork and the metal washer as a bit of protection. Would that help at all or should I just replace the serrated washer for a plain smooth one?

• #57374
what wheels are they?
-
• #57375
you don't have to use the washer
Are you on commission?
