• Nope, on the face.

    Basically they have a rechargeable battery which lasts about 5 months on a single charge. The face is the solar panel and charges the battery. A few hours of strong light fully charges it... so the incremental charge from being covered and exposed only occasionally is enough to keep it fully topped up without a problem.

    It automatically syncs to 6 different atomic clocks, whichever one of the 6 has the strongest signal. Side effect of this... step off a plane and it's the right time wherever you are.

    Then it's your usual fare for G-Shock: boil it, freeze it, drive over it, hit it with a hammer, put it under water for hours... it just doesn't care.

    Seriously... the only times I don't wear my Sinn I want to be wearing something fairly indestructible, and that G-Shock is pretty much my ideal. The indestructibility, and an analogue face.
