I just thoroughly embarrassed myself by ordering pancakes and bacon at The Breakfast Club. The embarrassment lay in the fact that instead of two rashers and maybe two pancakes, there was a whole pack of bacon on the plate and three FAT pancakes. Drenched in maple syrup. I simply couldn't eat it all. :(

Orange and walnut cake with cinnamon crumb topping is out of the oven and cooling. Desert done. Maple glazed king oyster mushrooms served on with smoked cheese filled crepes and a sage cream sauce is on the cards for dinner later.
