A shamefully overlooked game for ps3 is flower (download from psn). Beautiful and relaxing.
Ps3 is a nightmare online as every game works differently. It is free, though.
360 has several ways to join friends and is very user friendly - tells you if your online friends are playing the same game as you. Does cost about £40per year if you pay full price. The same game seems, from experience, to have new dlc available on xbox before ps3.
Xbox games drop on price far quicker and lower than ps3.
Ps3 games often need installing - Metal Gear takes about 6gb.
Ps3 needs an update every weeks or so and takes far longer than xbox to complete.
Xbox controller is far more comfortable for shooter games as it has propper triggers. The add-on ps3 triggers are ok, but my hand cramps up after a few hours.
The xbox messaging pad feels nicer amd is powered by the controller. The ps3 pad needs to be charged seperately.
The wireless headset is better on ps3 - any bluetooth headset works. The xbox one cuts off when you stop talking to save battery which leads to the start of the next thing you say being lost.
You can put a 500gb+ harddrive in a ps3 for next to nothing, but xbox fuck you sideways for a 120gb one that is the same, but in a microsoft shell.
When you upgrade your machine, xbox charge you about £11 for the copying kit and you can only copy game saves once (so I've been told)
If you remove the ps3 harddrive, it instantly kills everything on it as you have to re-install the software.
Don't buy a Wii. They are for children and fat adults.
Hope that clears things up ;-)
