What's actually going to be stored there? Do I need it? I will most likely be buying discs rather than downloading whole games.
Some of the one's I've seen online state they have a 3D Bluray Player. Is this worth the extra in case I magically find myself with a 3D TV at some point in the future?

320GB seems a bit excessive unless you're going to be downloading a lot of films/games and storing your music collection on it. I have 160gb it's easily enough for me. I'd have a think about what you're likely to be storing on it, and see how much the extra space costs.
All ps3's support 3d bluerays since version 3.50 of the system software. So you don't need to pay any extra for a '3D Blueray player'.
